When we moved into our house, I really thought we’d have every room finished within the first year or two… 😅 #ad

Seven years later, we finally got around to our bedroom. We ripped out the carpet, installed @shopflooret flooring, added the accent wall, and slowly started putting everything together.

Adding this Flooret washable rug really feels like the finishing touch the room was missing. I love how much cozier the entire space feels, and with a kid and a pet, being able to throw it in the washing machine is definitely a win! 🙌🏽

Now that we’re outside so much more, our basement door has become one of our most used entrances. Upgrading it with the @schlagelocks Encode Smart Wifi Deadbolt has made getting to our outdoor games, gardening supplies, and movie night essentials so much easier.

Funny how sometimes, the smallest upgrades end up making the biggest difference.

One more project checked off the backyard makeover.

This corner has come a long way. We cleared out all the weeds, added pavers and decorative rock, but every time I looked over here, it still felt like something was missing.

So I decided to build a privacy screen using the outdoor composite slat panels from @andorwillow , and it ended up being exactly what this space needed. I love the realistic wood grain, the modern look, and the fact that they’re weatherproof, so I know they’ll hold up outdoors.

What’s one project around your house that’s still on your to do list?

No idea what I’m doing, but I’m gonna do it anyway

This is what happens when you want nice things but can’t afford to hire someone… so you learn how to do it yourself.

Somewhere along the way I fell in love with building. Now I can’t stop finding new projects. 😂

Transforming my backyard has taken months, but it’s going to be so worth it when I’m done.

For the past 7 years, we’ve dreamed about transforming this space in our backyard into a space our family would actually want to spend time in.

After months of planning, countless weekends of work, and a whole lot of learning along the way, we finally brought that vision to life.

It wasn’t always easy, but seeing it come together made every challenge worth it.
