Hi friends! A couple of weekends ago, we took a little break from our usual DIY projects and headed up to the beautiful mountains of Ellijay, Georgia, for a relaxing cabin getaway with friends. If you’re looking for a cozy retreat not far from Atlanta, this cabin was the perfect spot! I’m sharing all the details, along with some of my favorite photos from the trip so you can see for yourself just how amazing this place is. The Perfect Mountain Retreat
This two-story cabin has everything you need for a cozy stay. The ground level has a lounge area complete with a ping pong table, two additional bedrooms for extra guests, and best of all, an indoor pool! The kids loved spending time at the pool. We had multiple ping pong tournaments. We spent hours swimming and relaxing, which made the stay even more special.
Cooking and Relaxing
The kitchen was spacious and fully stocked with every appliance and piece of cookware we needed. It made cooking as a group so easy and enjoyable to cook as a group.
Just steps away, the cozy living room was the perfect spot to gather around the fireplace and relax together.
I loved the mix of wood tones and modern touches throughout the cabin, so much inspiration for future DIY projects! The huge dining table had plenty of space for all of us, making meal times feel extra special.

The Master Bedroom
This master bathroom had a spa-like feel, complete with a large soaking tub, and spacious shower. It offered the perfect touch of luxury, making it easy to unwind after a day of adventure.
Outdoor Spaces and Cozy Nights by the Fire
One of my favorite parts of this cabin was the beautiful outdoor space. There’s a deck with an outdoor fireplace, making it the perfect spot to take in the peaceful views of the surrounding forest. The view was stunning, especially in the evenings when everything felt so serene. We even spent time around the fire pit, which made for the perfect way to end each day.
Indoor Pool and Lounge Area: A Fun-Filled Hangout Spot
One of the most unique features of this cabin was the indoor pool and lounge area located on the ground level. This space was a huge hit with everyone in our group. The kids loved it, and we spent hours splashing around and enjoying the luxury of having a private pool right in the cabin.
The lounge area, complete with a ping pong table, quickly became a favorite hangout spot. With plenty of space to spread out, it was ideal for friendly competition and endless fun.
A Day of Apple Picking
We couldn’t visit Ellijay without stopping by a nearby apple orchard. This town is known for its beautiful orchards, so we spent an afternoon picking apples, enjoying the fresh fall air, and just taking in the scenery. It was the perfect fall activity and the kids loved it!
Why This Cabin is Perfect for a Weekend Getaway
This cabin truly had it all, from cozy spaces to relax to fun-filled areas that brought everyone together.
If you’re looking for a peaceful getaway that combines nature with all the comforts of home, this cabin is a must. It has everything from cozy indoor spaces to fantastic outdoor views, and it’s close enough to Atlanta for an easy weekend escape.
My only regret? Not staying longer! Three days went by way too fast. I left with a ton of inspiration for future projects and memories of an amazing weekend spent with friends.
